Welcome to the latest and greatest version of the Craigslist Search Engine.
For the past two months, I have been redesigning the old Craigslist Search Engine web site. Not only is it a finely tuned, monster of a search engine, it is also sensitive to your needs, with a new look and many new features, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at just how cool the new Craigslist Search Engine is.
From early 2007 through September 2019, Craigslist Search Engine looked like this image.
Over the years, Google had made changes to the way it's custom search engine accepts data, this has caused the old Craigslist Searchengine to sort of gum up and stop working well, so I decided to recreate the web site and make it far better, stronger, faster than ever before.
I have completely recreated the search functionality that searches craigslist.org. The new state search returns results from the state you are in and does not include Craigslist listings from any other state.
The Craigslist Canadian Territory search works in exactly the same way.
Perfectly clean results with exceptionally few to no, Craigslist search pages in the listings. The nationwide search performs with the same precision over all states at the same time.
The new Craigslist Canada search, lets you search all of Canada or search only in the following Territories: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland And Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Saskatchewan, and the Yukon Territory
True "1 Click" Searching
The new Craigslist Search Engine carries your search phrase throughout the entire site, so you can jump from state to state and see your search results, you can also jump from the United States to Canada as well as all of the Canadian Territories.
One click searching makes life so much easier, you never have to retype your search phrase again just because you changed your search location.
Easy Access to near by states
My other two sites have always had this feature, and now it has been added to this site as well.
I list all of the states that border the state you are currently searching in, and with just one click, you can search any of the states bordering your search location.
You don't have to guess at which state borders the one you are searching in, they are all listed right there for you.
This feature is so useful, I have seen other sites that search craigslist.org add it to their search engine.
Your last 10 search locations
Each time you change your search location, it is saved to "Your Last 10 Locations" list. This list stores your last ten search locations while you are on the site. Once you close your web browser, they are forgotten.
It's never fun to forget where you have already searched on Craigslist, this feature shows you the last ten locations where you have already searched, and just makes an all around better craigslist search experience.
If you are using a mobile device, you will find these two features right above your search results. Click on either of the two blueish buttons to activate that feature on your smart phone.
Smart links
When you change states, territories, or countries on Craigslist Search Engine, and you have entered a search phrase into the search box, all of the links will take you to the proper search results page.
If you are just navigating the site and have not entered a search phrase, then all the links will take you to the proper main page.

Craigslist Search Engine's user interface has been completely redesigned to make searching nationwide or by state as effortless as possible.
The new Craigslist Canada Search is something this site has needed for a very long time, and now it is here to help you search Canada like a pro.
The new search engine is tuned like a high performance machine, just waiting for you to take it out for a search.
Each state is tuned to search in that state only, you do not have to be bothered with those annoying other states popping in to dilute your search results. You get exactly what you want, in the area you want to see it.
And like before, if you want to cross to the next state over, simply click on the neighboring state in the list and continue your Craigslist search with just one click.
No more do you have to re-type your search phrase just because you changed states.
Although the best experience with the new Craigslist Search Engine is on a desktop or laptop computer, it is fully mobile device compatible. This site performs very well on any mobile device.
There are more cool new features on the way, I will be adding them over the next few months, so please check back often.

March 7th, 2007 Craigslist Search Engine allows you to search all of craigslist using a Google
style interface and presents it's results just like you would see in a Google
search result.
The main feature of this site is the search box up in the top right of this
web page, this search box is your gateway to CraigsList. Simply type in
a search phrase and click search and you are on your way to being able to
find exactly what you need on Craigslist.

Search It, Find It, Like It, Get It.
Craigslist Search Engine allows you to search all of craigslist as if
it were Google. This allows you to locate anything on Craigslist using an
interface you are comfortable using for standard web searches, yet only returning
results from within Craigslist.org and no other sites.
Simply Search for it and you will most likely find what you want on Craigslist.
The reason we designed this site was directly related to the fact that it
is really cumbersome to search through Craigslist in multiple cities. It
really takes a bit of work to jump from location to location looking for
what you want even if the city is close to you, much like Ventura and
Santa Barbara.
This is why this Search Engine exists, not only to search across
vast distances at once but also a grouping of cities which are close enough
to travel between yet are listed separately on CraigsList.

What a bland name.
Why not call it Awesome Craigslist Search Tool or The Best Little Craigslist
Search in Texas.
name it something that sounds powerful like Craigslist Mega Search.
But apart from the fact that you can't name a site for crap, the Craigslist
search tool is the bomb! I have been using it over the past few days and
I really like it!
Now get off your butts and add in all the stuff you have in your news!
and call it something other than CraigsList Search Engine.

General Information for CraigsList Search Engine.
Craigs List Searchengine allow you to easily search through Craigslist just
as if you were searching Google, our site in fact uses Google to deliver the
CraigsList search results to you.
To Search Craigslist
Simply type a search phrase relating to what you wish to find into the search
box located ar the top right section of this web page.
After you have entered your search phrase simply click on the search button
and off you go.
Your Craigslist search results will be displayed on the following page.
Note: When you are searching craigs list for the first time or
you have changed your search location, there will be a short pause between the
time you arrive at the search results page and when the results actually are displayed.
This is due to Google changing it's search engine to show you the proper results.
Please wait while the Craigslist Search Results are displayed, it could tale up
to 7 or 8 seconds. After your first search in any new location, the search results
will be displayed at a normal speed.
Changing your Search Location
To change the location where you wish to conduct a search of Craigslist, click
on the "Change Search Location" menu located at the top left area
of this web page.
A list of states will be displayed at the top of the center column of the web
page. You can click on "All of Craigslist" to reset your search location
to it's default setting and search the entire country or you can click on a
state name.
Clicking on a state name in the list of locations to choose from will open up
a list of cities within that state which Craigslist services.
Clicking on the State Name from within the city list will set your search location
to the entire state or you can click on the name of your city to isolate your
search to that city.
Once you have changed your search location, you must refresh your browser window
to set the new location, this is done by either clicking refresh or pressing
the F5 key on your keyboard.
Refreshing is important as the web page will not know your new search location
until you do a refresh. If you do not refresh after a location change then the
first set of search results will still be in your old location but will correct
it's self for every search after that.
Also remember that the first set of results after a location change will take a few seconds longer to show up, but will be a normal speed after that.
Impact we have on Craigslist.org
None at all.
We do not spider Craigslist.org, 100% of our search results come from Google.
Craigslist.org has stated that they allow search engines like Google to spider
their site and in an effort to not impact Craigslist's bandwidth or cause server
slowdowns, we in fact gather our results from a source which is already allowed
and expected.
This makes us one of the only Craigslist.org friendly Search Engines on the
Internet.

What does CraigsList Search Engine Do?
Craigs List Search Engine does just what the name implies, it is a search engine
for Craigslist.
The overall idea of this site is relatively straight forward, the search box
located in the top right of the web page is your gateway to Craigslist. You
search this site lust like you would search Google by typing in a search phrase
and clicking on the search button.
The search results for Craigslist are then presented on the following page.
An important note would be that we do not actually spider Craigslist, we pull
our results from Google. This sets us apart from other sites which allow you
to search Craigslist in that our site has a zero impact on craigslist.org. We
never spider craigslist directly.
The fact that we never spider Craigslist.org but actually gather our craigslist
search results indirectly through Google means we are a Craigslist friendly
search engine.
So in a nutshell, we are a zero impact, craigslist.org friendly search engine
which allows you to search and browse through Craigslist.org using an interface
much like searching Google, except, our Google results are for Craigslist only.
All the search spam is removed and you get pure Craigslist Results.
